How can I get jalapeno flavor off my plastic storage containers?
My hubby loves em I don’t care for them. I have a small rubbermaid food container that he put them in then microwaved. I have tried soaking in bleach water already. Neighbored offered to wash in dishwasher. What can I do?

have you tried lemon and vinegar?
Try soaking them in vinegar then washing them.
Husbands, plastic food containers and microwaves do not mix well.
Try your neighbor’s offer of the dishwasher. I know the dishwasher does the best job on Tupperware that you could imagine. It is just possible that you will never get the flavor completely out of the plastic, since it was heated up. The component that makes jalapenos hot is oil soluble and plastic is a petroleum based product, so you may find that the flavor is forever bonded to your containers. You could do what I do and tell him to use only the ones he has already ruined (this does not work that well). Or buy the glass microwavable storage containers like these:

vinegar or just keep that one for him to use
it may sound weird but fill it with milk let it sit and dump the milk. you see the milk binds w/the oils from the pepper and it takes the oil w/it when you dump it out
Removing odors from plastic containers and lids is best done by scrubbing the container with a baking soda and vinegar paste mixture. You can see a short video demonstration with complete instructions at this website:

The dishwasher is also a good option. Cascade used to make a product called Plastic Booster. It was great at removing those red stains from plastic and left a really nice smell in your dishwasher. However, I haven’t been able to find it for quite a while, so don’t know if they still make it.
try lemons they seem to work
