Cool video about Storage Bin, take a look:

This Polish Tantal was purchased in Janurary 2010 from Jgsales.com. I already knew my rifle did not keyhole but I wanted to make a video after seeing and reading numerous videos and posts online from super turbo elite tactical weapon commando’s complaining about the rifle with the assumption that they all have the keyholing issue. Most people who are posting comments saying all Tantal’s keyhole or they all have a 5.56 barrel are just stupid trend following children who don’t even own any guns, live with their parents and jack off to HBO on a Saturday night The first two targets where shoot-nc see targets, one on a cardboard box in some bushes and the other on a piece of ply wood hanging in the storage bin, the cardboard box in the bush was 20 yards and the storage bin was 50 yards, no keyholes, however the box in the bushes had a few rounds that tumbled but that was due to going through the bush, if you watch closely you can see a branch fall off the bush, that round is the one that tumbled the 2nd test target was a postage box with two red dots spray painted on it at 35 yards, no keyhole’s ammo was 7n6 15-25mph winds were to blame for grouping

@ZunnyONe thanks for the info i have been looking at the polish Tantal by century and wanting to get one. But all i hear is this stupid keyholing crap. Im just gonna get one.

@russellcanderson yeah just be careful, youtube is full of trend followers and they are all following this “tantal keyhole” trend. If you post a video showing your gun does not keyhole then it will receive severe backlash, smug snobs like that semiautoriflelover prick will call you childish names and thumbs down all your videos. Whether these youtubers own any guns or not they are all just a bunch of “follow the leader” “monkey read monkey believe” little trend followers.

I own the same rifle and my gun snob buddies turned up their noses and declared that there would be keyholing issues. I went to the range with them and we put 600 rounds through the rifle with no keyholing. Some internet rumors just seem to grow.

@charliecharlie58 yep, starts with the Y. Now it’s time to upload SKS Paratrooper in marvelous HD

If your Tantal starts with Y in the serial #. The problem with key holing has been fixed as they changed the twist of the barrel.

@AGeekWithAShotgun im telling you, as another owner of a tantal.. unless you go and buy, a POLISH tantal, NOT bulgarian, anything you read on forums and on the internet is null.

my tantal doesnt come close to accepting a 556, ive checked. and every single paper target has no keyholes. only time it keyholes is after it passes through a target and into another, which the round was designed to tumble after ~2 inches of soft matter.

@AGeekWithAShotgun I went as far as to call Century Arms multiple times to speak with quality control and they assured me that no Tantal’s EVER built had a 5.56 barrel, the keyholing issue is from twist rate, they figured the cartridge was close to a 5.56 cartridge so gave it the same twist rate and that’s where they fucked up, I do agree that they aren’t quality builds, however for the price they are cheaper and offer more fun than a faggot ps3 or xbox with COD

@ZunnyONe
Dude it can have a 5.45 chamber but it CAN have a 5.56 barrel..
I have a bulgy 74 by century and it keyholed…sent it back
Century Builds are not quality weapons

@alienelements lol do you even own one? or an AR? If you did then you would know that a 5.56 does not fit into the Tantal, nor will a 5.45 fit in a 5.56 chamber

its not that all of the century tantals keyhole, but a bunch do, and its really all chance whether or not you get one that does. the barrels century uses differ, some are not fitted for 5.45, but 5.56. some have 1/9 twists too. if youre going to buy one, just assume its going to keyhole..you dont want to be dissapointed.

Thanks for doing this video. I have 1/8 twist barrel and I do not have keyholing either. I got my Tantal for $399 from Atlantic and it is a nice rifle. I think the newer CIA Tantals are good to go.
